Synopsis
According to the company, even for those using the Writing Help option, the chats will remain private. The update will let users manage storage, move chats between phones and use two WhatsApp accounts on one phone.AI will…finish your sentences
A notable change comes to WhatsApp’s “Writing Help” feature, first launched last August. It already lets users rephrase, proofread, or tweak the tone of messages.
Now, AI will suggest complete replies based on your conversation, helping you get your message “just right,” according to its blog. Meta is hoping people use this in-app tool rather than external apps like ChatGPT.
The company claims that the chats will remain private even if people use Writing Help.
Touch up photos in chat
Users can now make photo edits directly in WhatsApp using Meta AI. You can remove distractions, change backgrounds, or apply a “fun style,” all before sending your pictures. However, some Meta AI features may not be available to all users.
Clear space, keep your chats
WhatsApp now lets users manage storage more easily. Users can find and delete large files directly within any chat without deleting entire chats. You can even choose to remove only media while keeping the conversation intact.
Move chats between phones
WhatsApp now supports transferring chat history from iOS to Android, as well as within the same platform. Conversations, photos, and videos can move to another device with just a few taps.
Stickers that speak your mind
WhatsApp will suggest stickers as you type emojis. Emojis can then be swapped for stickers if needed.
Two accounts, one phone
Just like Android users, iPhone users can now log in to two WhatsApp accounts at the same time. This will make it easier for users to separate work and personal chats, with profile pictures always visible in the bottom tab to differentiate them.
