Exotel, a customer engagement platform powered by AI, has announced the acquihire of the leadership team from Dubverse, a voice AI platform. This includes cofounders Anuja Dhawan and Varshul Gupta, who will take on key roles at Exotel.
In this new arrangement, Dhawan will oversee the conversation quality analytics (CQA) solution team, while Gupta will lead the AI segment. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
This strategic move is expected to enhance Exotel's AI capabilities, enabling more scalable and outcome-driven customer engagement for enterprises.

According to Tofler, the company achieved profitability in FY25, reporting a net profit of ₹28.5 crore compared to a loss of ₹50.6 crore in the previous fiscal year. Its operating revenue also saw a significant increase of 75%, reaching ₹458 crore.

Established in 2021, Dubverse aims to make video content multilingual using AI technology. The platform offers various solutions, including AI video dubbing and text-to-speech conversion, and claims to have over 3 million users across more than 70 languages.
