Key Features of SCC Standard
- AI Protection Dashboard: The free Standard tier now includes a unified dashboard that detects unprotected Gemini inference and reports violations related to large-language model interactions. Four baseline AI posture controls are also provided, with these features set to be widely available by the end of June.
- Enhanced Security Checks: The Standard tier now includes over 44 misconfiguration checks based on the Google Cloud Security Essentials (GCSE) compliance framework, an increase of 21 checks from the previous version. It also features agentless critical vulnerability scanning and graph-driven risk insights to help prioritize critical security issues.
- Data Security Management: Data security posture management (DSPM) has been added to help teams visualize their data across Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage. The Compliance Manager now automates monitoring and reporting against the GCSE compliance framework.
- In-Context Security Visibility: New in-context security findings are now available within the Cloud Hub dashboard, complementing existing insights in the Google Compute Engine (GCE) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) dashboards. This feature enables faster remediation of security issues for cloud administrators.
