IT giant Infosys has appointed Nitin Paranjpe as its non-executive vice chairman. Paranjpe, currently non-executive chairman of HUL and non-executive vice chairman of Heineken NV, brings extensive experience. He will support Chairman Nandan Nilekani in guiding the board and strategic agenda. This appointment is effective immediately. Paranjpe is also non-executive Vice Chairman of Heineken NV.
"The Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Nitin Paranjpe as non-executive Vice Chairman of the Board with immediate effect," the statement said.
Infosys said Paranjpe brings extensive experience, including as non-executive Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd and non-executive Vice Chairman of Heineken NV.
"We are delighted to have Nitin in this position. His expertise has already made a significant impact on the Board, and we look forward to his continued leadership in this expanded role.
"I will continue as the Chairman of the Board as long as necessary, and there is no plan for a chairman transition," Infosys Chairman of the Board, Nandan Nilekani, said.
As the Vice Chairman, Paranjpe will support the Chairman in guiding the Board and strategic agenda, the statement said. PTI
