This article is the first in a series detailing how to register as a seller in the AWS Marketplace specifically tailored for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud. Currently, this marketplace supports two product types: software as a service (SaaS) and Amazon Machine Image (AMI) products.

Listing products in the AWS Marketplace for the European Sovereign Cloud allows businesses to cater to clients with evolving needs regarding sovereignty, data residency, and operational autonomy. The infrastructure of the AWS European Sovereign Cloud is located entirely within the EU, ensuring it operates independently of non-EU resources.
Registration Prerequisites
Before registering, it is crucial to ensure that the standard AWS account and the AWS European Sovereign Cloud account represent the same legal entity, including the business name and billing address. AWS will review registrations to ensure compliance with its requirements.
Steps to Register
- Complete the registration form for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud.
- Submit the required information, including your AWS European Sovereign Cloud account ID.
- Await confirmation from the AWS Marketplace Seller Operations Team, which typically takes 14 days or less.
- Once approved, verify access to the AWS European Sovereign Cloud catalog in AWS Partner Central.
It is essential to have access to both root user email addresses for the standard AWS account and the AWS European Sovereign Cloud account to complete the registration.
Setting Up Your Seller Profile
After registration approval, sellers should configure their AWS European Sovereign Cloud seller profile. This includes:
- Accessing the AWS Marketplace settings in AWS Partner Central.
- Completing the public profile with company information and product descriptions.
- Providing payment information, noting that disbursements will be in EUR.
