Ather Energy Surpasses ₹1,000 Crore Revenue in Q4, Driven by Rizta Scooter

Ather Energy has announced its most successful financial year in FY26, achieving significant growth in both sales and revenue. The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer sold 263,000 units, marking a 69% increase compared to the previous year.

In the March quarter alone, Ather recorded sales of 83,418 units, a remarkable 76% surge. This contributed to a total revenue of ₹3,671 crore for FY26, up 63% from ₹2,255 crore in FY25.

Quarterly Performance

The company crossed the ₹1,000 crore revenue threshold for the first time in March, reaching ₹1,175 crore, a 23% increase from ₹954 crore in the previous quarter. Ather's net loss for the year decreased significantly to ₹517 crore, down from ₹812 crore in FY25.

Key Growth Drivers

The growth can be attributed to the successful launch of the Rizta scooter and the expansion of Ather's distribution network. The company doubled its experience centers to 700 and increased its service centers to approximately 548.

Future Plans

Co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta highlighted that the Rizta has opened up a larger market segment, enhancing volume growth and unit economics. Ather is also investing in new platforms and manufacturing capabilities, including the upcoming EL platform aimed at the mass market segment.

Challenges Ahead

Despite the positive performance, Ather faces challenges due to rising commodity prices, particularly for lithium and battery components. Mehta noted that while some impacts have been mitigated through strategic sourcing, margin pressures are expected to continue.

Market Position

Ather currently holds an 18.6% market share in the electric two-wheeler segment, competing with established brands like TVS, Bajaj Auto, and newer entrants such as Ola Electric. The company has also expanded its charging network to over 6,000 points, contributing to its ecosystem-led monetization strategy.

Overall, Ather Energy's performance in FY26 reflects its strategic focus on innovation and market expansion, setting the stage for future growth in the electric vehicle sector.
