In a statement, the company said it will use the fresh funds to expand its platform globally and widen its network of legal professionals.

Founded in 2024 by brothers Manas and Varun Khandelwal along with Sumit Ghosh, Jurisphere wanted to improve how legal work is done using artificial intelligence (AI). In simple terms, the platform helps lawyers and legal teams handle various tasks, such as reviewing documents, drafting contracts, and conducting legal research, faster and more efficiently.

Over the past year, the platform has been adopted by more than 500 teams across law firms, companies, and government institutions.

“Legal outcomes don’t come from software alone — they come from how decisions are made over time,” Varun Khandelwal said in a statement. “We’re building systems that continuously learn from real-world execution, understand business context, and guide work as it unfolds."

The startup is pitching itself not as a replacement for lawyers, but as a system that helps them work more effectively and take on more work.

In its next step, Jurisphere is offering not just software tools, but also wants to build a marketplace into its platform to connect clients directly with the right lawyers. The rationale is that a business or individual can come up with a legal query and get matched with the appropriate legal professional, who then completes the work using Jurisphere's AI-powered workspace. The lawyers and firms on the platform will be independent, and Jurisphere will provide the technology infrastructure.

The Indian legal technology market is still at an early stage, with most law firms and corporate legal departments only beginning to experiment with AI tools.

“Jurisphere is addressing a critical gap in the legal ecosystem — bridging advanced AI workflows with real-world execution,” said Chinmaya Sharma from InfoEdge Ventures, in a statement.
