Lovable has announced its support for Atech, a Danish hardware startup aiming to innovate hardware development through a concept called "vibe coding." The company recently secured $800,000 in a pre-seed funding round, which included contributions from notable investors such as a16z’s scout fund, Sequoia Scout Fund, and Nordic Makers.
How It Works: Atech's platform allows users to purchase starter hardware kits from their website. After acquiring a kit, users can engage with an AI chatbot to describe their hardware ideas. The AI then generates the necessary code to help users create a functional prototype.
According to Gustav Hugod, Atech’s head of customer experience, the platform caters to a diverse audience, from young children building simple cars to advanced projects like hydrogen synthesis plants requiring precise voltage measurements.
Bridging the Accessibility Gap: Traditionally, creating hardware prototypes has been a complex task requiring extensive experience or hiring skilled engineers. Hugod emphasizes that as software accessibility has improved, hardware should follow suit. He believes that democratizing hardware creation is essential, making it accessible to everyone.
Funding Utilization: The newly raised capital will be allocated towards research and development, marketing efforts, and expanding the team.
